Second cooling loop: infested by limescale despite chemical treatment; nasty crust of limescale was formed on the walls requiring process shutdowns and full-day manual cleaning; high bacteria count in cooling water.

Installed Merus Rings in both cooling loops to treat the water without chemicals.

→First loop: water clarity improved within one week from rusty brown to almost clear with only a few particles. Second loop: limescale fell off the wall without manual cleaning
→bacteria count reduced from 9400 cfu/ml to 100 cfu/ml
→algae and biofilm became brown and started dying.
