Wärmetauscher
A clean heat exchanger does not need to be cleaned. Deposits on tubes and plates cut the flow rate and the heat transfer, which forces maintenance and downtime.
Treat the water, not the equipment
Several parameters drive deposits, and many cannot be changed in an existing system: the type of exchanger, the fluid, its position in the process and the temperatures. The one parameter we can influence is the solubility of the substances in the liquid, and that is exactly where Merus works.
How we treat an exchanger
We install a Merus Ring in the inlet of the side to be treated, sometimes on both the tube and the shell side. Foreign substances are flushed through without settling, which keeps the surfaces clean and denies biofilm and bacteria a foothold. Maintenance can fall from once a month to once a quarter or even once a year, and a single ring can sometimes treat a whole group of exchangers.
