Protecting kitchen equipment
Combination steamers with electric flow heaters scale up rapidly on untreated water, and the small pipes are difficult to clean without risking the heating element. Steam injection tubes in industrial ovens can scale so fast at around 200 degrees that they need replacing every week. With a Merus Ring the limescale stays soft, tubes are cleaned by gentle knocking and replacement intervals stretch from weekly to monthly.
