Chlorine has been used for years in swimming pools all over the world but presents challenges, including red eyes caused by chlorine after extended water exposure. Calcium hardness also creates maintenance issues: huge amounts of limescale might settle at the walls of the pool and crusts will form at the evaporation line of the water.

Merus installs rings in the feed line for fresh water and in the circulation lines. The system keeps calcium dissolved or creates a softer scale texture, reducing crust formation. The Bio Rings also combat algae growth.
