The water in the pipes is always under pressure but remains static, creating corrosion risk. When valves are opened during maintenance, the water often comes out dark brown due to loose rust on the pipe walls. High corrosion levels risk clogging spray nozzles with dissolved rust, potentially preventing adequate water flow during fires.
De Merus-oplossing
Install Merus ring technology on supply lines before shut-off valves, tanks, and pumps. The system dissolves existing corrosion and protects against future rust accumulation through flushing at multiple points.
Resultaten
→After installation, water samples transformed from mostly clear to dark brown within days, with a thin layer of rusty particles visible. The system required four flushing cycles until no more brown water came out.
