Ropa a plyn
Refineries dismantle crude oil with heat, and the cost of cleaning the plant is a constant challenge. Impurities in both the crude and the cooling water foul the heat exchangers that the process depends on.
Treating both sides of the exchanger
We developed a special Merus Ring to treat hydrocarbons, even in high temperature processes above 300 degrees Celsius. This lets us treat heat exchangers on both the water side and the hydrocarbon side, and when both sides are treated the performance of the rings actually improves.
Saving energy by staying clean
By keeping heat exchangers clean, or at least slowing the rate of fouling, a great deal of energy is saved. The hydrocarbon reaches its target temperature with less energy, and the cooling stays efficient on a clean surface. The ring addresses limescale and corrosion as well as biofouling.
