Chaudières et vapeur
Boilers, hot water tanks and steam generators concentrate minerals as water heats and evaporates, which makes them some of the first places limescale and corrosion appear.
Scale and corrosion under heat
Scale on a heating element insulates it, so more energy is needed for the same output and the component runs hotter and fails sooner. In steam boilers and evaporators the concentrated water also drives corrosion. A Merus Ring on the feed keeps the hardness dissolved, so deposits do not bake onto hot surfaces and existing scale softens and flushes away.
Lower energy, longer life
With clean heating surfaces the boiler transfers heat at its design efficiency, cleaning intervals stretch out and the life of the element and the vessel increases. The same approach works from a domestic hot water tank to an industrial steam generator.
