De uitdaging
Deposits form on heat exchanger surfaces due to dissolved and suspended impurities in cooling water. The deposit thickness and the hardness of the deposits are, reduce the flow rate and reults in less heat is transferred. Heat exchangers require regular manual cleaning with chemical agents, causing production shutdowns.
De Merus-oplossing
Install Merus Ring technology upstream of the heat exchanger to increase mineral solubility in water, preventing new deposits and removing existing ones through self-cleaning action.
Resultaten
→After some weeks nearly blocked heat exchangers were clean again - without chemical or manual cleaning. Heat transfer remains stable while fouling is stopped completely.
