Limescale
Limescale and other salts are dissolved in almost every water. As long as they stay dissolved they pass through your pipes without doing harm. The trouble starts when they settle.
What limescale does to your pipes
When dissolved minerals settle, crusts form on the inside of pipes and machines. They narrow the pipe diameter, raise the pressure needed to move water and act as insulation that ruins heat transfer in heat exchangers. Wherever heat is applied and water evaporates, the problem accelerates.
A physical way to avoid deposits
Chemical and mechanical descaling is expensive and forces downtime. The Merus Ring takes a different route. Clamped onto the main pipe, it transmits oscillations into the water that keep the minerals dissolved, so they no longer settle in pipes and machines. It works without extra energy and even at high temperature. The size of the ring follows the flow volume and pipe diameter, the effect stays the same.
