The challenge
Hard water contains limescale and salts which can settle in pipes and especially in small valves or sprinklers. Iron content causes plant discoloration. Biofilm and microbial growth block pipes. High water volumes make chemical treatment economically unfeasible; for example farms in North America can need more than 1000 m3 a month.
The Merus solution
Physical water treatment using Merus Rings to keep foreign substances dissolved in the water so they do not settle in pipes, valves and sprinklers, working without power or chemicals.
